About Mountain Communities Practicing Caucus Meetup

This meetup is in test mode - feel free to join now; regular meetups and postings begin in June.

This group will be focused on:

• Enabling new participants to understand and use the caucus system through tools and education
  
• Ensuring a smooth and equitable caucus process from the precinct to the state
  
• Actively promoting and defending the caucus as the best system for representative government
• 
  

Starting in June, groups throughout the mountain areas of Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties (and beyond) will work together to provide education, volunteer support and coordination with other groups to promote, use and defend the caucus system. We will be meeting primarily in our neighborhoods to plan for the upcoming caucus and provide volunteer networking, tools and support. Other meetups will include speakers, workshops and social meetups, as well as working with other groups to defend the caucus system in government and politics.

Over the next couple of months, files on the history and use of the caucus system will appear, along with calendar items for events of interest in the mountain and Denver areas. If you have a group, class or event that you would like listed, send me a note!

Beginning in June, area organizers will start district and precinct meetups to discuss and prepare for the caucus. Hope to see you!!!
