Denver Grassroots Rally Meetup

RSVP to be part of our "leadership team" or just show up. Sign up sheet for speakers opens at 3:30 p.m. We've had an indication of interest from a couple of TV stations, so I think we are going to get good coverage by the media today!

Our purpose is to increase informed participation in the over 6000 Colorado neighborhood bi-annual meetings (caucuses) that will be held in the February of 2008.

The Action Class in Practical Politics workshop gave many, many in Colorado their start in political leadership, we've updated it for the MTV generation! We are also influenced by the original purpose of the Denver City Club, which was to introduce young people to the political leaders of Denver.

Newcomers who want to get involved are invited to meet each month with political leaders from the right and from the left, from major political parties, and from political action groups talk about what they are doing and how to get involved.

Information is distributed about how to become a delegate to the 2008 National Conventions, one of which is going to be held right here in Denver!

At our next meeting, we'll discuss the Denver City Elections, and whether they would be better if made part of the neighborhood meeting system. We will also decide on a name change for our group that better reflects our purpose.
